The WICT Network is a nonpartisan organization whose mission is to create women leaders who transform our industry. We do this by providing unparalleled professional development programs, commissioning original gender research, and supporting a B2B network that helps advance women. For more than 40 years, The WICT Network has partnered with media, entertainment and technology companies to help build a more robust pipeline of women leaders. Founded in 1979, and now over 10,000 members strong, The WICT Network is the largest and oldest professional association serving women in media.
The WICT Network embraces a spirit of collaboration within its organization and throughout the industry. We partner with cable and telecommunications industry leaders to provide leadership programs and services, and challenge these companies to create professional advancement opportunities for women on a local and global level.

The WICT Network: Greater Chicago Rising Star Mentorship Program takes the traditional mentee/mentor format and broadens it to include peer partners, a leadership coach, and guest senior executives.
It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I extend my warmest welcome to you as the 2024 President of The WICT Network: Greater Chicago. I have been a member of The WICT Network since 2011 and served as the Signature Events Chair, spearheading the annual Visionary Leadership Award Ceremony and assisting with our Tech It Out and Holiday Toys for Tots programming. I have been with the cable industry for 13 years and currently serve as a Senior Manager for Sourcing and Governance at Comcast.
As we embark on this journey together, I am eager to embrace the spirit of our touchstone, “CONNECT to your peers, your industry and everything around you.” We ask that you join our journey by renewing your membership, connecting with others and participating in our planned events.
We’re pleased to announce that our Visionary Leadership Award Ceremony will be held in person on April 4, 2024. This is one of our treasured flagstone events where we will announce our 2024 Visionary Leader and our Inspire and Catalyst Awards winners. Please stay tuned for our nomination process.
We are at a pivotal moment where connectivity serves as the touchstone of our progress. As President, I am committed to fostering an environment where connectivity is not just a buzzword but a cornerstone of our operations. I encourage each of us to seek and utilize information, to collaborate across boundaries and tap into the wealth of knowledge that surrounds us. Let us be the architects of our collective success by leveraging our connections and using information as our guiding light.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our past President, Tarsha Simmons, for her outstanding leadership and direction during her tenure. Her remarkable efforts have not only shaped the path forward but have also set a profound and inspiring tone for me. Thank you for your tireless service, your ability to navigate challenges and your passion for creating a better tomorrow. Your legacy of leadership will undoubtedly continue to resonate, guiding and inspiring us as we move into this new chapter.
